Winners of the championship will win a free trip to Los Angeles and be lucky enough to record music at Capitol Studios; the best music video will be selected by American pop singer and songwriter Tori Kelly.
Recently, Shure announced the collaboration with Tori Kelly, a popular American singer and songwriter, to hold a "great event" in a global music competition for all bands, singers and solo musicians. Musicians from 15 regions around the world will be fiercely contested.
Kelly, who was nominated for the Grammy Awards, said
As a singer, I know music inspiration can burst anytime, anywhere. I encourage every musician to seize the opportunity to work hard to create music that demonstrates unique.
Interested musicians are required to perform and record live song videos on unique venues and upload them to off-the-beaten-track.shure.com. Entries will require a minimum of 50 votes in order to qualify for the basic selection, from which Schur will select 20 more contestants. In addition, one of the highest number of contestants will also receive a pass to qualify, so mobilizing fans to vote is also crucial!
In the second round of the competition, 21 pros will receive MOUL Microphones, a professional audio device from Shure, to create better new videos. All players should try their best to present creative and imaginative entries, while ensuring video recording sites are safe and legal. Participants can refer to the Shure MOTIV music video compilation MOTIV Sessions, for inspiration from the mobile recording.
Jens Rothenburger, Shure's senior global marketing manager for musicians and consumer audio products, said:
The videos in the MOTIV Sessions show off the endless creativity of music artists with a very special selection of venues. We've heard Laura Pergolizzi play gracefully on the shores of Lake Geneva, Herbie Hancock's private piano for us in his living room. This time, we look forward to seeing more creative works by more musicians.
Judge Tori Kelly, who plays Unbreakable Smile, will select the best music video from among the 21 finalists. Already, Grammy Award winners, renowned music producer and audio engineer Al Schmitt will be producing Capitol Studios recordings. During many years of his career, he has worked with many famous musicians, including Frank Sinatra and Bob Dylan.
